Garnier The Sleek Perfecter Oil Review

Hi there,

I've been using this Garnier ultimate blends The sleek protector oil for about two months now. I've been focusing on keeping my hair in a better condition and this has definitely helped me along the way.

I use it after I have washed my hair, just applying 3/4 drops all through the ends and whatever is left on my hands onto the roots. I know it sounds like a lot of product but I have seriously thick hair, which is also getting pretty long now! I also use just a couple of drops if I feel my hair has become frizzy and needs a bit of taming. It definitely helps add shine too.

The packaging is just a simple tear shaped brown plastic bottle but I really like it, the pump means you can easily control the amount of product you get, plus it's great for travelling.

This is just one new step I have added to try and start more of a hair care routine. So far this product has only exceeded my expectations and I am yet to use it for all of it purposes like for protection against heat.

What hair care products do you recommend?

Proactiv+ 8 Week Progress | AD

Here is my last update on my 8 week experience with Proactiv+ Deluxe Core Kit.

I was very excited when I first received this and having a routine was really nice and relaxing. It smells really good too.

However I didn't seem to gain anything from this in terms of my skin. I have had a really oily t-zone since using this and like I said in my last post it meant I stopped using all of the steps so frequently. Now my skin is nearly back to it's dry/combination state.

Spots were not a common thing for me, if I ever did get a noticeable one it was rare but it would be big. Once I started using this I would still get the occasional big one but I also got small under the skin and white heads every day around my chin and forehead.

I get that with some skin products it gets worse before it gets better, especially if it is drawing all of the bad bits out. However this product did not agree with me.

I'm still on the search for the right skin care routine.

What skin care products are your favourites?

Boots & Poundland Haul

Boots
I normally buy all of my make up from Superdrug and never really venture into Boots, but today I noticed Boots had a 'buy one get one half price' deal so I took a little look. First of all I needed a new make up bag as my usual one has broken, this Ted Baker one is so pretty and is just the right size to fit everything in (£10.99). I finally made the plunge of buying a Tangle Teezer, as I have admired these for so long. My hairdresser uses one and they never pull at they hair and they are so raved about on blogs all around. I bought the 'original' Orange Tangle Teezer. I also made the current cliché buy of the all so raved about Baby Lips my Rimmel, I wanted to get Cherry Me but it wasn't in stock so I grabbed the Pink Punch (£2.99). It smells delicious but I am yet to use it to give it a full review. I needed to get a new Eye-shadow Brush as mine is rather old, I love the Real Techniques range however I love trying out new things. I saw the EcoTools collection and thought I would give it a whirl, thus I bought the 'full eye shadow brush' (£5.49). I then grabbed Boots own 'tea tree & witch hazel shine control day moisturiser', as I need a new moisturiser and I am yet to find one that works well with my skin (£3.59). My local Superdrug doesn't stock Natural Collection and I think it's a great place to stock up on eye shadows and blushers if you don't know what colours suit you best, or if you just want to play about with colour. So (left to right) I grabbed a solo eye shadow in the colour Willow. Then I picked up two blushed cheeks (blusher), in Sugar Plum and Sweet Cheeks.

Poundland
After visiting Boots I popped into Poundland to grab a few bits but I came across something so much better. First of all was this Sinful Colors nail varnish in Courtney Orange. I have heard so much about these and have never been able to get my hands on them, and for only £1 who could resist? I then found this small nail kit which I thought was so cute and just right for travelling. However the best buy were these Calvin Klein Sheer Crème Eyeshadow's. They are just like the Maybelline EyeStudio Colour Tattoo 24 hr Cream (4.99), in texture and in pigmentation (except for 'retro silver' which is super sheer). Swatches (from left to right) are Vintage Metal, Sage Shimmer, Vinyl Black and Retro Silver. All are great colours, especially for autumn and winter, I am so pleased with this find so I will definitely keep my eyes peeled for more products in Poundland.
