Valentines Makeup 2015

Hiya,

Today I created this pink and grey soft smoky eye, with soft pink lips for a valentines look that wasn't to heavy.

I started off by applying my moisturiser which is the Simple hydrating light moisturiser, this is a great moisturiser because you only have to use the tiniest bit to get a great effect. I then used Mac studio fix fluid in NW13 to create my base, followed by the Collection lasting perfection concealer in shade 1/fair to cover my under eye circles and any spots. Moving onto my brows I used the e.l.f. eyebrow kit which I then brushed out anything that was too dark with a spooley  brush.

For my eyes I applied the Maybelline color tattoo 24hr in Pink Gold, which I use as a primer for looks like this especially as it will help to enhance the pink in this look. To put the pink in the middle I used the shade 'Strange' in the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette to create the dimension in the centre. I then grabbed the Benefit smokin' eyes kit and used the lightest grey on the inner and outer corner to plan out where I would put the shadow, then blended it through the crease. I then put the darker colour from the kit where I put the grey and built it up and blended it out until I had the desired effect. I then used the pink highlighter from the kit on top of the Urban Decay colour. I then picked up my Kiko pigment loose shadow  (it says the shade is no. 10 which doesn't match up online, anyway it's a pink shade) and pressed that on top of the centre of my eye. I also put the grey under my eyes a little to create dimension.

I then created the eyeliner flick with Collection fast stroke eyeliner and added a layer of Benefit Badgal Lash mascara on my top and bottom lashes. Last but not least  I used a Soap & Glory lipstick in The Missing Pink, to add a soft pink colour to my lips that wasn't distracting from my eyes.

I hope you enjoyed this post, I know I haven't done anything like it in a while.

Thanks,

Topshop Red Lippy Look

Hi,

Today I have recreated this Topshop red lip look. First I want to apologise for the bad lighting in the pictures as it was dark by the time I finished, ergh. Secondly, I have also realised I ever applied mascara for the photos but you live and learn.

To start with I did my lipstick. I went over my lips with my foundation and a beauty blender to create an even base then went over with a lip brush and this lip bullet by Topshop in rockabilly.

The eyeshadow is very green based which isn't most flattering for me as I already have green eyes, but would definitely suit someone with brown eyes more.

I will use this photo for reference.

I used the golden colour (top right) as a base all over the lid, it's a colour from natural collection but I don't know which colour exactly.

Then I lined my eyes all over using the green/golden colour (bottom right) which is Sumptuous Olive from Mac. I then applied this and blended, over and over again until I had the right amount of colour that I desired. I then used the blue/brown/green colour which is Club from Satin in my outer V and blended it out,

I should have then applied a mascara, my current favourite being BADgal mascara by Benefit.

I really like how this look came together, I just wish I had the right colour eyes to pull it off!

I hope you enjoy,

A Nights Stay in Brighton!

Hi there!

A few weekends ago my dad booked a night away for my family and I, on Sunday the 28th of December. We stayed at Myhotel which is right near the centre of Brighton. My sister and I shared a room, then my parents were next door. We both stayed in Twin rooms.

The hotel was nice with a cool view of the street so we could people watch. It reminded my sister and I of 'My Parent's are Aliens'.

Any way this is what the place was like...

and our room...

This is what you see as soon as you enter with wardrobes on the left with food, coffee machine and a fridge in. Then on the right was the bathroom...

Here's the sink then on the left was the toilet and behind was the shower. We don't have a shower at home so my sister and I took advantage of this!

Then this is the bed room.

There was nothing to complain about, the hotel was great and in such a nice spot.

We actually went shopping before we got here but I'm going to do a separate post on that.

After all the shopping we went back to the hotel for about an hour then headed over to Las Iguanas for dinner. It was my second time going here and I really enjoyed going there for dinner. I had calamari, chicken fajitas and then churros. Plus it was happy hour, so my dad and I tried out a couple of cocktails.

The next day we did more shopping then we went onto the pier and took my dad on a ride. He is very afraid of heights, watching his reaction was better than the ride itself.

I hope you enjoy these life posts and thanks for reading,

Topshop Lip Paint Review

Hi,

Today I'm going to do a review on the Topshop lip paints in the colours Tallulah and Reminisce.  These were something I saw in the sale a few months ago so though I would give them a go, the colours looked nice and they were only a couple of pounds.

I fell in love with the colour Tallulah (the red) straight away as it looked like my kind of red, yknow? Unfortunately the formula wasn't what I was looking for, the colour came out patchy and parts would dry and others wouldn't. The dofer applicator also makes such a bold colour hard to apply as any mistakes will show up. The peachy pink colour, Reminisce, wasn't much different. Although mistakes weren't as visible.

The staying power was short lived and the colour transferred onto everything. Where parts didn't dry hair or fluff would stick.

I really wanted to love these as they were so cute and the packaging was on-the-go worthy, plus I got them for super cheap. Sadly these just didn't work for me but maybe they will work for you.
