Topshop Lip Paint Review

Hi,

Today I'm going to do a review on the Topshop lip paints in the colours Tallulah and Reminisce.  These were something I saw in the sale a few months ago so though I would give them a go, the colours looked nice and they were only a couple of pounds.

I fell in love with the colour Tallulah (the red) straight away as it looked like my kind of red, yknow? Unfortunately the formula wasn't what I was looking for, the colour came out patchy and parts would dry and others wouldn't. The dofer applicator also makes such a bold colour hard to apply as any mistakes will show up. The peachy pink colour, Reminisce, wasn't much different. Although mistakes weren't as visible.

The staying power was short lived and the colour transferred onto everything. Where parts didn't dry hair or fluff would stick.

I really wanted to love these as they were so cute and the packaging was on-the-go worthy, plus I got them for super cheap. Sadly these just didn't work for me but maybe they will work for you.

Valentines Day Smoky Eye

Valentines day is all about who you love right? When we say love with think of love hearts and the colour pink, so pink is the colour of today.

I started by applying Maybelline Color 24hr Tattoo in Pink Gold (£4.99) to the my eyelid as a base. I then grabbed my MUA palette in Undressed (£4) and put shade 2 on the centre of my eyelid to add dimension and shade 1 in the inner corner to highlight.  I then grabbed my Calvin Klein Tempting Glimmer Sheer Creme Eyeshadow in Sage Shimmer (poundland) and applied it to the outer V of my eyelid and down under my lower lash line a little. I blended all of these together to get a subtle edge, you can always add more product if you want a darker smoky eye.

I used the Bourjois Liner Feautre Eyeliner (£6.99) in black and took it a little above my upper lash line, I then took it out and created a small wing to elongate my eyes. I used my Maybelline Volume Express Colossal (£7.19) to create volume to my eyelashes but I decided I wanted more length too. So I used my fake eyelashes from eBay (£1.19) and applied them using Revlon Dark Lash Adhesive  (£5.19) which did the trick. I actually did my eyebrows first but I used an MUA Matte Eyeshadow in Shade 19 (£1) .

I really like how this look came out and it's super girly. This would be something I would wear out on a daily basis or to a glamorous evening, so it's a win win situation.

Have a great valentines day,
love,

Eau Nude Eau De Parfum By Next

For Christmas my best friend absolutely spoiled me and this is one of the gifts I received from her. She all ready owns the scent 'cashmere' by next and I always told her how nice it is, I would have never of thought to go into Next for a fragrance but you should all check them out. This is 'Eau Nude Eau De Parfum' and it is gorgeous, I have used it nearly every day since receiving it. I have put up a picture which describe the smell to help anyone understand, but it is girly but not super sweet like a summer scent would be. The bottle which you can see look so classy and high-end and I have it proudly on my shelf.

Thank you,

L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Collection Privée By Cheryl

I have been looking for a drugstore nude for a while, I don't have one and I think it's a lipstick must-have. When I saw L'Oreal advertising their new 'tailor made' nudes I was immediately drawn to them, plus their packaging is super chic. I chose the colour which is 'by Cheryl', it says that it "offers a discreet contrast to the skin, thereby enhancing the natural beauty of the complexion". Which I definitely think it does, this lipstick is also hydrating and doesn't try out my lips at all.  The colour goes well with any make up look so it's one of my new go-to products and I can't complain. I have heard it is a good dupe for Macs 'hue' but as I don't own the product I can only suggest the comparison. For £8.19 it is one of my most expensive lipsticks, (believe it or not) but this hasn't stopped me from liking it a lot.

Thank you,

Boots & Poundland Haul

Boots
I normally buy all of my make up from Superdrug and never really venture into Boots, but today I noticed Boots had a 'buy one get one half price' deal so I took a little look. First of all I needed a new make up bag as my usual one has broken, this Ted Baker one is so pretty and is just the right size to fit everything in (£10.99). I finally made the plunge of buying a Tangle Teezer, as I have admired these for so long. My hairdresser uses one and they never pull at they hair and they are so raved about on blogs all around. I bought the 'original' Orange Tangle Teezer. I also made the current cliché buy of the all so raved about Baby Lips my Rimmel, I wanted to get Cherry Me but it wasn't in stock so I grabbed the Pink Punch (£2.99). It smells delicious but I am yet to use it to give it a full review. I needed to get a new Eye-shadow Brush as mine is rather old, I love the Real Techniques range however I love trying out new things. I saw the EcoTools collection and thought I would give it a whirl, thus I bought the 'full eye shadow brush' (£5.49). I then grabbed Boots own 'tea tree & witch hazel shine control day moisturiser', as I need a new moisturiser and I am yet to find one that works well with my skin (£3.59). My local Superdrug doesn't stock Natural Collection and I think it's a great place to stock up on eye shadows and blushers if you don't know what colours suit you best, or if you just want to play about with colour. So (left to right) I grabbed a solo eye shadow in the colour Willow. Then I picked up two blushed cheeks (blusher), in Sugar Plum and Sweet Cheeks.

Poundland
After visiting Boots I popped into Poundland to grab a few bits but I came across something so much better. First of all was this Sinful Colors nail varnish in Courtney Orange. I have heard so much about these and have never been able to get my hands on them, and for only £1 who could resist? I then found this small nail kit which I thought was so cute and just right for travelling. However the best buy were these Calvin Klein Sheer Crème Eyeshadow's. They are just like the Maybelline EyeStudio Colour Tattoo 24 hr Cream (4.99), in texture and in pigmentation (except for 'retro silver' which is super sheer). Swatches (from left to right) are Vintage Metal, Sage Shimmer, Vinyl Black and Retro Silver. All are great colours, especially for autumn and winter, I am so pleased with this find so I will definitely keep my eyes peeled for more products in Poundland.
