My Current Blog Design - Elora

Hello!

Today I just wanted to mention my new blog theme. Boy does it look pretty!

I have played around with editing, adding widgets, changing this and that on my blog from day one but it just never looked how I expected it too. It never looked finished.

Whilst online reading blogs I realised how a lot of people had bought their designs online. To be quite honest I didn't even know this was an option. I had a look around and I think Etsy really has a great selection, I spent ages looking for one that was right for me. I was looking for something sleek, that looked semi professional, which I could also add aspects of my style within it.

I came across a shop called Best For Bloggers, it has so many beautiful designs.

I decided on a design named Elora
When choosing a design there is a link to a live demo blog, where you can open the page as if it were a real page so you can see how it works. I find this really helped me decide which one was right for me.

The design I chose was £3.23
Yes, I know.  So cheap. I was so happy and I personally think my blog has never looked better. I'm now happy with how it looks and I cannot wait to share my posts online.

I hope you have found this post of some use.

Halloween DIY #1 - Easy Cat Makeup

Hello!

Today I wanted to try an easy go-to Halloween makeup look. A cat. It's ideal for a last minute party or if you're on a budget. I would pair this with messy hair, which I create using salt spray, back combing and maybe some dry shampoo. Plus a black outfit, or to jazz it up you could add some leopard print!

I did my base like normal then did my eyebrows roughly, it doesn't matter if they are messy. I then used loads of bronzer just to warm up my face and add some colour. For my eyes I used a liquid eyeliner, and mascara. I bought the eyeliner down in the inner corners to elongate them even further.

The rest of the look was done with pencil eyeliner. I did a major boo boo by drawing my spots first,as I later smudged them... I'll know for next time. For my bottom lip I used a pink lipstick to add colour.

Pair it with some ears of your choice and voilĂ !

Valentines Day Smoky Eye

Valentines day is all about who you love right? When we say love with think of love hearts and the colour pink, so pink is the colour of today.

I started by applying Maybelline Color 24hr Tattoo in Pink Gold (£4.99) to the my eyelid as a base. I then grabbed my MUA palette in Undressed (£4) and put shade 2 on the centre of my eyelid to add dimension and shade 1 in the inner corner to highlight.  I then grabbed my Calvin Klein Tempting Glimmer Sheer Creme Eyeshadow in Sage Shimmer (poundland) and applied it to the outer V of my eyelid and down under my lower lash line a little. I blended all of these together to get a subtle edge, you can always add more product if you want a darker smoky eye.

I used the Bourjois Liner Feautre Eyeliner (£6.99) in black and took it a little above my upper lash line, I then took it out and created a small wing to elongate my eyes. I used my Maybelline Volume Express Colossal (£7.19) to create volume to my eyelashes but I decided I wanted more length too. So I used my fake eyelashes from eBay (£1.19) and applied them using Revlon Dark Lash Adhesive  (£5.19) which did the trick. I actually did my eyebrows first but I used an MUA Matte Eyeshadow in Shade 19 (£1) .

I really like how this look came out and it's super girly. This would be something I would wear out on a daily basis or to a glamorous evening, so it's a win win situation.

Have a great valentines day,
love,
Poppy xxx
